Stewardship of Prayer
at LaPorte Catholic Church

Stewardship of Prayer
Stewardship of Time & Talent

"Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."     1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Stewardship of Prayer

We need to remember that our Spiritual Life needs care and commitment just like every other part of our lives.  Prayer is a key component of our Spiritual Life and needs to become a part of our daily routine.

Developing a daily prayer life is so important that it is mentioned over 250 times in Scripture.
Our goals and commitments to prayer need to be realistic and challenging.  Try a way of praying that you have not tried before.  Try more time in prayer  and make it part of your daily routine.
During the  Stewardship of Prayer campaign, we spend 4 weeks using prayer, bulletin articles and witness talks to help us reflect on  our own personal commitment to prayer.   The following resources are used as a guide:
Weekend 1
Topics include:  What is prayer?  Where and when can we pray?  Making prayer a part of our daily lives.
An Overview
Weekend 3
Making a commitment to a prayer routine is important.  How do we establish a daily prayer routine?

Stewardship Prayer
O Lord, giver of life and source of freedom, I know that all I have received is from your hand.
Gracious and  loving God, You call us to be stewards of  Your abundance, the care-takers of all you have
entrusted to us.   Help us to always use Your gifts wisely and teach us to share them generously.
Send the Holy Spirit to work through us, bringing Your message to those we serve.
May our faithful stewardship bear witness to the love of Jesus Christ in our lives.
We pray with grateful hearts,  in Jesus’ name.
Amen
